Safety Partnerships in Action

In staffing a local metal fabrication plant, our safety team recognized a pattern of injuries associated with a specific machine. Our root-cause analysis identified specific machine operator behaviors and mechanical aspects that contributed to the hazard. Partnering with our customer’s Plant Manager, we were able to install a special guard that eliminated the pattern and significantly improved safety for both their employees and ours.
In staffing a local beverage production facility, we recognized that our turnover rate and injury rates were unusually high. We investigated and found that despite our best effort at describing the job and environment, it is something that associates need to see for themselves. We coordinated with our customer’s HR Manager to establish a pre-assignment walkthrough procedure that allowed us to show them the actual work being performed and demonstrate the required safe work practices. Since this change, we’ve seen a remarkable reduction in injuries and higher associate satisfaction and retention.
Early in the COVID-19 crisis, our food processing customers needed to act swiftly to protect their essential workers from exposure and to maintain product quality and safety. We partnered with several customers to set up a temperature check and mask distribution program which we staffed and scheduled on a 24-hour basis. This allowed us to keep our employees safe and keep our customers operating with minimal interruption.
